Miriams Cottage Barossa Valley Bed and Breakfast

History of Miriam's Cottage

This 1920’s cottage has been operating over the past 30 years as a bed and breakfast by the same family.  Annabelle purchased Miriam’s back in 1988 and converted the house and garden to give it a welcoming and relaxed feel, which makes it a beautiful destination for guests to relax and enjoy.

Annabelle had a special Aunt whose name was Miriam. When Miriam was first married, she lived in a cottage very similar to this one.  So therefore, it felt only fitting to be called “Miriam’s”.

Annabelle’s daughter Alicia took over the running of Miriam’s in 2003. With things changing and internet bookings becoming the way of the future, I think Annabelle was glad to pass it on to the younger generation.

Miriam’s Cottage is located in a beautiful quiet tree lined street, close to main street of Tanunda. It is within walking distance of shops and restaurants, wineries, wine bars, sports oval, bakeries and galleries. Just a leisurely 5 min stroll.  Have a look in the "See & Do" section to really see how close things are!

This historic cottage has two bedrooms – one has a queen bed and the other bedroom has the choice of either king bed or two singles. This makes it suitable for families or two couples.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you’ll need to cook your bacon and eggs, or a full Sunday roast. Enjoy the lounge room which has TV, DVDs, Fetch TV, and a Bluetooth speaker for you to enjoy your own music. Miriam’s has a lovely sunroom which overlooks the beautiful cottage garden, outdoor setting and BBQ area.
